What’s a Sanlele?
A Sanlele is a cross between the Okinawan sanshin and the Hawaiian ukulele. It has the body of a ukulele and the neck of a sanshin, and its three strings follow the sanshin tuning with frets spaced in the Ryukyu scale.
About the Ryukyu Pine K1 RP-301K1: The K1 RP-301K1’s neck has been improved to make it easier to play in both open C tuning as well as basic sanshin tuning. The latest model features a bigger sound as well as a brighter, crisper tone than its predecessor.
