Tin Sake Vessel “Katakuchi”– Nousaku
Product details
This is a sake vessel “Katakuchi” made from 100% tin.
Since ancient times, tin has been used as a metal for sake and tea utensils, as it is said that "water in a tin vessel will not spoil" and that "sake tastes milder because the tin removes impurities”.
The simple, not-too-large katakuchi also makes it a good choice for dressing containers and tableware.
Each piece is handmade, hand casted and hand finished by techniques passed down over 400 years.

About Us
The Voyapon website has existed since 2015, when our founders envisioned the idea of bringing "off-the-beaten-path" Japan to the English, French, Spanish, and German-speaking world. Since then, our writers have created more than 3,000 articles shedding light on parts of Japan few overseas visitors have ever had a chance to visit. We would like to believe that our hard work has helped connect the lesser-traveled parts of Japan with the rest of the world.
