Artesano Kero (Alberto Shiroma x Nakama Isao)

Détails du produit

A stylish ARTESANO collaboration courtesy of the unexpected pairing of musician Alberto Shiroma and ceramic artist Isao Nakama. Isao Nakama set the base with his immense pottery talent and together with Alberto Shiroma, the pair collaborated on both the design and painting.

Alberto Shiroma is a popular musician and the grandson of Uchinanchu immigrants who immigrated from Okinawa to Peru. 100 years later, he took inspiration from his Okinawan roots through using Yachimun pottery in this collaboration. In ancient times, kero were ceremonials cups used in the Inca Empire. The guitar design is painted by Alberto Shiroma, and the ear of barley by Isao Nakama. Both with Icchin technique.
